- Safety and preparation for working with nature
- Nervous system regulation with nature, co-regulation, and Polyvagal Theory fundamentals in relation to nature
- Forming attachment bonds with nature
- Exploring heart rate variability, coherence, and brain wave states in natural settings
- Contingency, and being witnessed by nature
- Partnering with nature to activate the mature aspect of self
- Leaning into the pace of nature and the body; experiencing slowing down and grounding
- Techniques for engaging neuroplasticity, guided by nature
Module 2: The Anatomy of Kinship
Creating depth relationship with nature through embodiment practice
- Exploring the relational sense
- Mindfulness and presence in developing the ability to listen to nature
- Becoming aware of your embodied responses to nature through interoception
- Recognizing and working with these inner sensations as relationship-forming
- Deepening into the detail, or granularity, of felt sensation
- Making meaning from felt sensations in response to nature
- Working with imagery and other imaginal sensations that arise from somatic impressions in relation to nature
- Learning how to recognize which natural beings are calling to you
- Exploring the cultivation and effects of awe and profound experiences in the natural world
